Dear parents,
Over the break be sure to buy your children some new school supplies. During the first semester the students have used them all up so buy some things such as glue, scissors and other school necessities. To find out more ask your children what they need for each class.

About Me

The Colorado Rams are the mini family here at the Taos Middle School. We consist of two teachers. Ms. Cantu, and Mrs. Jensen. Mrs. Jensen teaches NM History,Language Arts,and Honor Society. Ms. Cantu teaches Math, and Science. We will try to update this website every week based on the information given to us by Ms. Cantu, and Mrs. Jensen.

Language Arts: Author Research, on 11/1/10 - 11/5/10. During 2nd, 3rd, and 5th periods. You will research an interesting author. We are also working on Individual book projects; Visual, Verbal, Technological, and Kinesthetic



World History: We are working on partner projects for the European/Russian Unit


Honor Society: Stray Hearts Volunteer, will be done every other Thursday during 7th period. 7th PERIOD NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY STUDENTS ONLY.

Math: This week in math we are doing math art for our unit projects. The students have to enlarge a small piece of a picture by a certain scale factor. The math part is measuring and knowing what a scale factor is. When we put the pieces together we will have a big picture of something. They all have to do their part or the big picture won't turn out.



Science: In science we just completed a unit on weather. We learned about lightning. So we will be doing an experiment in class to understand lighting better by studying static electricity and understanding how it works.


Note to parents; Science: Ask your kids what kind of clouds are in the sky. They know all the names!
